The Refuge Farm was established in 1999 as our place of refuge and salvation. It is on 58 areas located in Marshall, MI. It was a place to go to get away from the stressors of everyday life. It was a place to slow down, to take a walk and just enjoy nature. Now, the Refuge Farm is our back yard. Our dogs can be dogs - exploring nature, chasing other wildlife, eating in the garden, and basking in the sun.
We have raised horses, rabbits, peacocks, chickens, kittens, and dogs on our farm. But we are most excited about raising goldendoodle puppies.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. Psalm 34:8
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2.
Ginny, our mother dog, is a brown eyed red medium sized (50#) Goldendoodle, with tons of loving personality. She is an F1bb, meaning multi-generational goldendoodle bred back twice to poodle to increase consistency in the breed with less shedding and is therefore more hypoallergenic. She loves to give hugs, be with us and go for walks on the trails. She is a great mom and very attentive to her pups.
Gus, the dad, is a dark apricot with a curly coat. He is a F1bb. He is loving, 65# and adorable.
Ginny has been genetically tested and has no abnormalities or increased risk of disease. Gus' father has also ben tested and is healthy.
We both have a medical background as OB/GYNs. We have delivered thousands of babies but have now transitioned into delivering puppies. Our first home births!! The miracle of life is truly amazing. We have always had dogs but fell in love with the personality and teddy bear looks of the goldendoodle. We love ours so much and want others to have the opportunity to have one of these loving family dogs as well.
We do not currently have any puppies available. Check back later for our next litter.
The pups love going to a picnic. You can make a mess and don't have to worry about spilling 😀
Ginny loves running around either chasing her pups or letting them chase her. Some wrestling may be included.
Here mommy gets the opportunity to cleanup after the puppies. After cleaning the little ones, she obliges and finishes the bowls!
We anticipate the puppies being adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your furever friend or to ask any questions.
